Hilton Head Plantation

Hilton Head Plantation consists of beautiful, custom-built homes and villas in an exclusive 4,000-acre private community on the north end of Hilton Head Island. The plantation itself is divided into many smaller neighborhoods. This is where you will find homes perfect for first-time buyers, empty-nesters, or more spacious homes sitting on large lots for families. There is also the prestigious Ribaut Island, which is a private community within Hilton Head Plantation.

All of the neighborhoods are surrounded by green space. What is Coligny?

Anyone having been to Hilton Head Island* or heard someone talk about Hilton Head have heard the word Coligny.   But what is it?

Coligny Plaza is a cluster of beachside hotels, bike paths, shops and restaurants.  Located on the southern end of Hilton Head Island, at the end of Pope Avenue, on the Atlantic Ocean and about two miles from Sea Pines Ocean Gate.

Coligny started as the island’s only place for vacationers to pick up what they needed for their Hilton Head Island beach vacation.  Almost seventy years later, it’s far from the only place, but it’s still a popular place on Hilton Head Island for shopping, dining and entertainment.

At Coligny, you’ll find more than 60 specialty shops and restaurants offering something for everyone. You’ll find fun and excitement right by the beach, just like millions of locals and visitors have. Unwind with an ice cream cone, swing on a bench by the beach, eyeing the parade of sandy visitors as they go by on foot and bike.  Watch the children play in the sprinklers that greet them as they enter the beach.  Walk among the shops, find something to eat, pick up a souvenir or buy anything you might have left at home.  On warm nights, people gather in the center of the plaza where you will be entertained by local talents and dancing and singing by young and old is encourage.   Should it rain, Coligny even has a movie theatre.

Saw this property today twice (that is how much I love it).  The views are awesome, privacy can’t be beat and the house makes your jaw drop.  This home is secluded luxury!!! I feel this is the most unique and beautiful Sea Pines property. The property is a 9.5 acre island within Sea Pines south end that has a 8500 sqft New England style main house built in 2001, pool and spa, guest house and a 3rd vacant 1 acre lot. The 6 bedroom main house has exceptional low country and water views. The finishes are all first class throughout. 

The kitchen is any cook's dream, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers. 3 ovens and more.

      Since 1973 we have had an annual vacation on Hilton Head Island.  This is where my children learned to swim, play tennis and ride bikes. My husband and I moved here permanently in 2007.   Every year our children (all six) with their children return to enjoy the ocean, July 4th activities and just being together (twenty-seven of us) on this beautiful island.

Delisheeyo - Healthy, Fresh & Fast

      Taking healthy to a whole new level, this quaint restaurant and shop for vegetarians, vegans, athletes and seekers of  healthy, fresh and flavorful, this is the place to go.   Many of their ingredients are grown in their own garden that surrounds the store and served in their salads, soups, smoothies, juices, and wraps.

      

         Their menu is surprisingly large.  My favorite is the Fatoosh Salad with chopped tomato,

cucumber, sweet pepper, onion, Kalamata olive, pita chips, feta and lightly tossed with fig vinaigrette.  Their frozen yogurt has a base full of probiotics and for a real treat try it layered with apple pie.

       

        Delisheeyo has an impressive retail section that includes organic drinks, energy bars and cookies.  They sell locally made tea and honey and their wonderful dressings including their fig vinaigrette.  Open Monday through Friday from 8am until 8pm, Saturday 8am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 3pm.

      

       They are located in The Village Exchange next to The Smoke House on 32 Palmetto Bay Rd.
